For Cratefall, the offline crate-opening game for Android

Package: com.loothaven.cratefall  ·  Published by: Silver Dawn Associates Limited  ·  In effect from: 8 September 2026

Cratefall collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no purchases of any kind; the game requests no Android permissions and never opens a network connection.

The panels below set out what that means in practice, what the game writes to your own device, and how to reach a person about any of it.

Who is responsible

Cratefall is made and published by Silver Dawn Associates Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, which releases its games under the name Loothaven. Where data protection law refers to a data controller, that company is it — though there is very little to control, because the game gathers nothing.

No real money is involved

Nothing in Cratefall can be bought. The in-game currency is earned only by playing, it has no cash value, it cannot be topped up, sold, transferred or cashed out, and there is no billing library in the build — so no payment details, card numbers or transaction records exist anywhere in the app. Crates are opened with in-game currency alone.

The drop rates are fixed weights compiled into the game. They are identical for every player, are not adjusted by how long you have played or what you have already opened, and cannot be changed remotely, since the app has no way to receive such an instruction.

What is stored on your device

Cratefall saves your progress so the collection is still there when you reopen it. That save file is written to the game's own private storage and is never uploaded. It holds game state only:

None of this identifies you. No name, email address, phone number, contact list, photo, location, advertising identifier or device identifier is involved at any point.

What the game does not do

There is no advertising library, so no adverts are shown and no advertising profile is built from your play. There is no analytics or crash reporting library, so no usage events, session logs or crash traces are gathered or transmitted. There is no leaderboard, no social feature and no sharing, so nothing you do inside the game is visible to anyone else.

Cratefall also requests no Android runtime permissions whatsoever — not camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notifications.

Network use

None. The game runs fully offline and opens no connection to our servers or anyone else's, so it behaves identically in aeroplane mode. Because nothing is sent, nothing can be intercepted; because nothing is received, no behaviour can be switched on remotely after you install it.

Other companies

The app itself contains no third-party services. One company is involved anyway, unavoidably: Google, because Cratefall is distributed through Google Play. When you install or update the game, Google processes that under its own privacy policy and its own agreement with you. What reaches us is the aggregated, anonymous figures shown in the developer console — install counts, ratings, country totals — which cannot be traced back to an individual player.

If a future version of Cratefall ever includes anything that touches the network, this page will be rewritten before that version is published, and the change will be described plainly rather than added quietly.

Younger players

Cratefall is a game of chance in the sense that crate contents are randomised, but no money can be spent in it and nothing in it can be paid for, so there is no financial risk to any player of any age. Drop rates are disclosed in the game itself, as Google Play requires.

Because the game collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either, and there are no adverts, no chat, no sharing and no outbound links through which a child could send information anywhere. If you are a parent or guardian and something appears to behave differently from what is described here, please write to us and we will look into it straight away.

Your rights and your data

Under the UK GDPR, and under the EU GDPR where it applies to you, you have rights to access, correct, erase and port the personal data a company holds about you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Those rights need data to act on, and Cratefall holds none, so there is nothing for us to send, correct or delete on your behalf. If you would like that confirmed in writing for your own records, ask and we will send it.

The local save file is entirely under your control. Clearing the game's data in Android settings resets the collection immediately, and uninstalling Cratefall removes the save along with the app. Neither action needs our involvement, and neither leaves a copy behind, because no copy was ever made.

Complaints can go to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you wrote to us first so we can explain or fix whatever prompted it.

Changes to this policy

This page is updated only when the game changes in a way that affects privacy, and the date at the top changes with it. Builds you have already installed keep behaving exactly as they do today.
